- KEY to arrangement category -

D— These are Dance Band Swing Charts for 2 Trumpets, 1 or 2 trombones, 3 Saxes, Piano & Rhythm. The 2nd trombone parts are always optional, and many of the "D" category charts can also be played without the 2nd trumpet and 1st trombone.  The 3 sax parts vary, some being 3 tenors and some being alto, tenor, and bari.  Please ask about these options for specific charts.  Piano parts consist mainly of chord symbols, and drum parts are basic guides with cues for brass hits, but not fully orchestrated.  Skill level ranges from easy to medium without extreme high ranges for brass.  (Printer style).

Also in the "D" category you will find Medley Makers. These are one chorus charts, good for building ad hoc medleys on the job, and that all key parts (trumpet 1, tenor 1, trombone, piano) include lead sheets so they can also be used to do an-ensemble in, solos, ensemble out-performance.

There are also some octet charts in the "D" category. They are written for Trumpet, Alto, 2 Tenors ( or 1 Tenor and 1 Bone), Bari, Piano, Bass, and Drums. The 2nd tenor and trombone parts are interchangeable. These are Jazz, not Swing and are marked accordingly.

F
--Written for 3 saxes (AAT, ATT), 2 trumpets, trombone and rhythm.  Any alternate instrumentations will be marked in the "Comments" section.  (Printer generated)

J Standards for combos, big band, small big band, and various ensembles with strings. The "Comments" section-after the title-will be marked with the instrumentation of each chart. (Manuscript style)

There are also some piano solo charts in the "J" category. They will be marked accordingly.

M— Written for 4 Saxes.  Lead Alto, Alto, Tenor, and Bari, or Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bari.  The instrumentation will be marked in the "Comments" section.

O
— Written for 2 Trumpets, 3 Saxes, Piano and Rhythm. A Bone can be subbed for a Trumpet, and 1 Sax can be dropped. Also Trumpet parts can be combined. Solo sections without lead lines but with chords. Medium to high skill level, very fine arrangements. (Manuscript style).

R—Unless otherwise noted in the "Comments" section after the title, these are scored for Alto Sax (and once in a while a clarinet in lead-mostly in Dixieland tunes), Tenor Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Piano and Rhythm. A Bari Sax part may be available on some charts at no charge (just ask). Solo sections will have chord changes, almost always lead lines. Suggested solos available. Skill level medium, some easy, some difficult. (Mostly printer generated, but a few manuscript style)

S— Unless otherwise noted in the "Comments" section after the title, these are scored for Clarinet (or Soprano Sax), 2 Trumpets (or 1 Trumpet and 1 Tenor Sax) (the Trumpet 2/Tenor Sax part is optional), Trombone, Piano, Guitar (or Banjo), Bass (most include an auxiliary Tuba part), and Drums. Some contain notated solo and piano parts. Easy to high skill level. (Manuscript style).

T— For 1 Bone, 1 Trumpet, 2 Saxes (a few will have a 3rd sax), Piano and Rhythm. Bone and 3rd Sax can usually be dropped. Solo sections usually have lead lines and chord changes. Medium skill but very nice stuff. (Manuscript style).
V--For String Quartet. Most were written with
a Flute as lead, with Violin II, Viola, and Cello.  The flute lead can be played by violin I.  These are mostly Pop, and Standards some of which swing nicely!
(Printer generated)

W— For 2 Saxes/Clarinet, Trumpet, Piano and Rhythm. There are Bone parts for almost all of the arrangements and a 2nd Alto Sax part is available for some. Just ask. (If the extra parts are available we will send them anyway). Dixieland style charts will almost always be for clarinet, tenor, bone/bari, and rhythm.  Solo sections always have lead lines and almost always chord changes. Easier to play and play with, but still with a professional sound. (Manuscript style).

BB
— I would say standard Big Band charts (5/4/4, unless otherwise noted in the "Comments"), but nothing about the way these play and sound is standard! They are all very nice charts. The arrangers and style will be noted in the "Comments" section.  (Both).
